When the new season kicks off in August,
the Ashton Gate Stadium will have seen a number of significant
changes in particular
a brand new Stadium PA system will have been installed. The
new system designed and installed by The Sounds Commercial
Group, will feature 48 full range large stadia loudspeaker
units by
the
Canadian manufacturer, Community.
The system has several innovative
design features, there will be a fibre optic communication
link between the two main amplifier
racks situated within the Dolman and Williams stands, this
will enable the racks to ‘communicate’ with each
other for monitoring purposes. In addition the new DJ console
housed within the Williams stand will utilise two hard drive
storage units enabling the DJ announcer to choose which tracks
to play from an on-board electronic storage, which will house
up to 40megabytes of music power.
